Virna Toppi was born in Italy the 24 December 1992 in Lentate Sul Seveso, Milan. At the age of 8, She started studyng dance at “Collegio arte e Danza” of Seveso, Milan, and in June 2003 she has been admitted at “La Scala Theatre’s Academy Ballet School”, graduating in May 2011. In August 2011, she started working with the “Semperoper Ballet” in Dresden (Germany) like Corp de Ballet, and in June of the next year, she moved to “Teatro alla Scala di Milano”, where two years later she has been promoted Soloist and in February 2018, as Principal Dancer.

In September 2019 she’ll start to work with Bayerische Staatsballett of Munich like Principal Dancer.

In recent years Virna has danced the greatest roles of the classical and contemporary repertoire. She has worked in the creations of the major choreographers on the international scene and been invited to dance in various international theaters and festivals.
