From 1991 to 1994 Nicole Meier received a pre-professional training at the Theater Dance School St.Gallen under the direction of Marianne Fuchs. In 1998 she completed her university degree in stage dance at the Palucca Schule Dresden – Hochschule für Tanz. She also studied by distance learning from 1996 to 1998 at the Laban Center Zurich, and ended with an I.S.T diploma.

From 1998 to 1999 Nicole Meier worked as a dancer with the Tumbuka Dance Company of the National Ballet of Zimbabwe, and Since 1999 she has choreographed over 40 pieces, mostly under the name carrot dancers, of which about 26 are full-length.

In the same year she started being a freelance dancer in various projects in Germany and abroad and in her own choreographies.

She is regularly dancing as a guest dancer in opera productions at the Saxon State Opera – Semperoper – in Dresden.
