Maya Angeli is a set designer and prop stylist originally from Cyprus and currently based in London. She started her career as an opera and theatre set and costume designer in Milan, Italy, where she studied and lived. In parallel she was designing dance and theatre plays in various venues in Italy, Cyprus, London and Greece.

At the moment she is mainly working as a set designer and prop stylist for still life photography, fashion editorials, commercial advertising and interior styling for events and photoshoots.

She is trying to create aesthetically interesting visual worlds through observing and playing with different materials, proportions and scale.

Concept and story telling are very important in her work.

She has a strong background in music and dance and she is still training in classical ballet. She also worked as an illustrator, prop maker, storyboard, mosaic artist and scenic artist at the Royal Opera House.
