Denise Klein was born in Berlin, Germany.
From very early childhood, she had a great passion for dance, but it was only later in her teens that her family agreed for her to study Dance.
She began her Ballet training at the Berlin Dance Academy and then continued to study in Strasbourg, France at the State Ballet School.
After moving to Belgium, she pursued her Dance training at the Academy of Antwerp and took part in international workshops and courses for Dance-teachers.
She studied Psychology at Brussels University, graduating with an M.A. Clinical Psychology & Pedagogy.
She opened a private studio in Antwerp and founded and directed the “Children’s Dance Theatre”, a troupe of children for whom she choreographed Dance-theatre pieces performed a.o. at Festivals at the State Theatre and the Antwerp State Opera.
After immigrating to Israel, she studied with Prof. Hassya Levy-Agron and performed with Levy-Agron’s Women’s Dance Group.
Denise Klein was awarded with a Grant by the Israeli Immigration Ministry, a Grant awarded to recognized Artists, evaluated and selected by a professional committee.
She opened a private Studio in Jerusalem where she teaches to the present day.
She creates Dance-theatre pieces for her students and for the Conservatory of the Jerusalem Academy, the children’s group of the Jerusalem Dance Theatre and Festivals.
She took part in different dance projects and is active in Dance Improvisation and Contact Improvisation.
Since 2015, Denise Klein is a dancer at the Rina Schenfeld Dance Theatre – Tel Aviv. As a creative dancer she continues to explore projects of her own and since the beginning of the pandemic she took part in several international dance video Art projects.
